Christmas was pretty laid-back this year. Gary, Vincent and I celebrated with my mom the weekend before Christmas. Really, the only thing that would have made this celebration better are if my grandpa my sister were there. Grandpa passed away earlier in the year and my sister moved to Iowa.
Vincent gave his "favorite cousin" a kiss. His favorite cousin is always whichever one he is with. He's smart like that. And yes, it's ok to kiss your cousin when your five.
Mom got a bottle of wine.
Gary got an iTunes gift card, which lasted about 15 minutes after we got home.
Vincent was excited to receive a bar of penguin soap.
Vincent also got these not-girl socks. Santa didn't notice the pink bows. ;) Vincent liked them either way.
One of our gifts to Cortney.
Uncle Andy got a hug!
I thought her new coat was cute!
Yep, that's us.
Nice...
Myself, mom and my brother. I just need a little photoshop cutout of my sis...
Too cool to smile... my brother and his girlfriend.
Christmas weekend, Gary Vincent and I headed to Gary's mom's house for the weekend. It was very lazy and relaxing, a perfect way to spend the holiday. We opened gifts Friday night. By the time we got there everyone was in pajamas. Vincent had a pajama day at preschool, so he fit right in!
These photos were a little difficult because the living room was packed and I couldn't move around...
Baby Rue opening a present.
I got Gary some Radius Garden tools.
This book had a recording of memaw reading a story and read it out loud as Vincent turned the pages. Cool!
Gary's sis checks out a gift we got from...our basement...
A cool tiger ring...
We got Rue a rockin' Elmo and a cute owl rug for her room... but we also had to get her his "ugly dog." That's actually what it's called...
Vincent got some wrestler wristbands and a sweat band. He was pretty excited.
I used to play the game "Sorry" with my grandma all the time. Vincent loved it.
We got Colton this awesome basketball on your head game.
We got the nephew Jules a 3-D drawing pad, but Gary is playing with it. He's also wearing his new singing tie Vin got him...
Christmas Eve was actually pretty warm, so we decided to go outside with the Bogo stick we got the boys (Bow assisted Pogo=Bogo. I didn't love the name either). We were going to get it for Vincent, but he's not heavy enough, so we got it for our nephews instead. It was really fun and a lot easier than a traditional Pogo.
Jules holds the record with 17 bounces.
Five Jumps for me!
Airbound!
Midnight was not happy that I captured. He was in the middle of looking for moles in the garden... I think.
We got a new steam cleaner for Christmas, so Gary was cleaning the wall behind the stove...
Memaw and Popa weren't in many of my shots...
Anyway, that's about all I've got. This was the first Christmas without Grandpa, which sucked, but I know he was watching and celebrating with us. I didn't see extended family this year. Bummer.
I hope that whatever you did with your Christmas that you had an amazing day! What made it the most special for me was spending time with people I love.
