New Hat

First, I'd like to apologize for my recent lack of posting. I've been super incredibly busy with work and at home. We've had a band concert, orchestra concert, Christmas program, Christmas parties and gatherings. It's nice, but definitely exhausting. I think I'm on the brink of getting back to a normal routine, but we'll see how that goes.

Anyway, I have some stuff to post about, but I thought I'd tide (both of) my readers with my newest cute cuddly hat. I made it for my cousin, Makenna.

After the pictures were taken I ended up taking off the stripe to make it more centered. It looks nicer I think.

I hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday season, no matter what you're celebrating.

My House = A Zoo!

This past weekend, I experienced a zoo... at my house! Gary's mom brought her Great Dane (Boo) and two new puppies, a Beagle (Princess) and a Dachshund (Max). In addition to that, we have our Chug (Lexi) and Chiuaua (Milo). Boo isn't allowed outside because he stomps on plants (accidentally) and leaves really big urine spots on the lawn, which is a big no-no for my landscape man.

One puppy was chewing on the curtains while another was chewing buttons on the couch. Boo was swiping things off the fridge with his tail (accidentally). Some were sick from their first car ride, and Boo came down with something and had a Boo-sized accident...

In addition to the pups, there were a lot of humans in the house, with his family all there to celebrate G's birthday. He's not one to make a big deal of his birthday, but that doesn't stop us from gathering and spending time together.

But in all, it didn't matter. The puppies were so dang cute that their little bad behavior didn't really matter. I mean, how can you get mad at a puppy who has ears that flap while he's "running" on the cutest, tiniest, stubbiest legs? Or big doggies that just want to be your baby?

I tried to get a picture of all the little pups and dogs together, unsuccessfully. But here are a few anyway because they're fun.

There's a glimpse of all of them in this one- Boo, Princess, Max, Lexi and Milo.

Oh, and did I mention that my dogs were terrible hosts?! They're trying to get away in every picture. They were not happy campers.
Happy Wednesday everyone!

4.21.11 Mi Gato

Look at this lazy guy. This is after he whined for 20 minutes because he wanted milk BUT WE WERE OUT! Apparently he doesn't understand English. I even tried showing him the empty jug.

4.18.11-Turtle Log

IMG_0551

Spotted this group of turtles basking in the Sun on Sunday. They jumped off the log as soon as I started taking their photo. Guess they're camera shy...

Dam, Beavers! 4.12.12

IMG_0132

This, my friends, is the work of a beaver. They had created a dam, but I thought their chop marks were cool!

Flaw Dog 3.17.11

IMG_8051

Saw this cute pup visiting children at the park. Apparently he is a "flawed" pure bred because he has white on his nose. What some would think is unique, others call a flaw. Either way, cute pup!

Duck Night

Tuesday after picking Vincent up, we headed to the park to see the ducks. I picked him up at 5 and it was already starting to get dark! Ducks and geese were cutely walking all over the frozen lake to the center, where there was a patch of water for them. Vincent and I went in to a little guardrailed section to look at them. Since the lake was ice, I didn't want him getting too close.

It turned out we were in the perfect spot. The geese came to us! They got so close we could have reached out and touched them.

While we were there, the fountain light switched on, making the scene even prettier. There were so many ducks and geese. Here are a few favorites. None of the photos are edited and it was dark. It was after all, 5 p.m.
